Contributor Terms & Guidelines

These terms apply to guest article submissions, invited Contributors and use of the LessonInc Contributor Dashboard.

Version: 2026-10-20-v2  ยท  Effective: 20 October 2026
Important: Submitting an article does not guarantee publication. LessonInc retains editorial control over what appears on LessonInc Insights.

1. Eligibility and access

You may initially submit an article as a verified guest writer. There is no public registration for the LessonInc Contributor Dashboard. LessonInc may invite a writer to Contributor access after meeting its eligibility criteria, which may include at least three approved and published articles and continued good editorial standing.

Contributor access is a privilege, not an entitlement. LessonInc may decline, suspend or withdraw access for misuse, fraud, plagiarism, repeated policy violations, safety concerns or other serious breaches of these terms.

2. Verification and account security

LessonInc may require your name, email address, phone number and email OTP verification before accepting an article or activating Contributor access. You must provide accurate information and keep control of the email account used for authentication.

Contributor access is passwordless and may use OTP verification and a trusted-session cookie. Do not share OTPs or permit another person to use your Contributor access.

3. Responsibility for submitted content

You are solely responsible for content submitted in your name and for checking it before submission. By submitting, you confirm that the material is lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to submit and license it, and that it does not knowingly contain false, misleading, defamatory, plagiarised, fraudulent or infringing material.

LessonInc provides an editorial and publishing platform and does not adopt, endorse or guarantee every factual statement, opinion, quotation, source, image or other item supplied by a contributor. Editorial review, automated screening, publication or continued availability does not transfer the contributor's responsibility for the submitted material to LessonInc.

You must not fabricate sources, statistics, quotations, credentials, research findings, educational outcomes or other material facts. Opinions and personal experiences should be clearly distinguishable from factual claims.

4. Originality, copyright and sources

Articles should be original in substance and presentation. Do not copy another person's article, substantial passages, images, charts, tables or other protected material and present them as your own.

Quotations, research, data, photographs, illustrations and third-party material must be attributed or used with permission where required. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to any material you upload or submit.

LessonInc may reject, remove or investigate material reasonably suspected of plagiarism or intellectual-property infringement.

5. AI-assisted writing and automated review

Reasonable AI assistance is not automatically prohibited; however, the human contributor remains fully responsible for the final submission. You must verify facts, citations, names, dates, examples and sensitive claims before submitting.

Mass-produced, generic, deceptive, fabricated or materially unverified AI-generated content may be rejected. LessonInc may use automated systems to identify writing patterns and show editors an AI-authorship likelihood indicator. Such an indicator is not proof that content was written by AI and should not be treated as proof of misconduct by itself.

LessonInc may also use automated or AI-assisted systems to screen content for spam, harassment, threats, sexual or pornographic content, hate, scams, privacy violations, unsafe or illegal content, repetitive/promotional material, unsupported claims, sourcing problems, sensitive-topic risk and other quality or safety concerns. Significant or disputed decisions remain subject to human editorial judgment.

6. Editorial review, revision and publication

Submission does not guarantee publication. LessonInc may approve, reject, hold, request revisions to, or decline to publish any submission based on relevance, quality, accuracy, originality, structure, usefulness, safety, sourcing, legal risk, promotional character or suitability for LessonInc readers.

Minor edits to spelling, punctuation, headings, layout, formatting or readability may be made as part of normal editorial preparation. Where practical, changes that materially alter the author's meaning should be returned for review or revision.

Contributors cannot directly publish articles. Final publication authority remains with LessonInc.

7. Ownership and publishing licence

You retain ownership of your original work unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

By submitting content for publication, you grant LessonInc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, edit for presentation, display, distribute, archive, excerpt and promote the submitted content through LessonInc websites, applications, newsletters, search surfaces, social channels and official promotional materials for the purpose of operating and promoting LessonInc and LessonInc Insights.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your original work to LessonInc. You warrant that you can grant this licence for the content you submit.

8. Community conduct and prohibited content

Contributors must participate respectfully and in good faith. LessonInc does not permit targeted harassment, bullying, intimidation, credible threats, hateful or dehumanising attacks, scams, impersonation, doxxing or disclosure of private personal information, pornography, sexual exploitation, encouragement of serious self-harm, dangerous wrongdoing, illegal content, deliberate misinformation, malicious disruption or repetitive spam.

Criticism and disagreement are allowed when directed at ideas and expressed constructively. Context matters: educational, historical, scientific or safeguarding discussion is not treated the same as content intended to abuse, exploit or cause harm.

9. Sensitive topics and protection of minors

LessonInc is an education-focused platform and some readers may be minors. Sexualisation, grooming behaviour, exploitation, inappropriate solicitation, sexual content involving minors, or attempts to obtain a minor's private contact information for inappropriate purposes are strictly prohibited.

Content involving health, mental health, self-harm, law, public safety, politics, religion, communal issues or other sensitive subjects may receive additional editorial review. LessonInc may require clearer sourcing, qualification or context before publication.

10. Promotional content and conflicts of interest

Articles must provide genuine educational or informational value and must not primarily operate as advertisements, affiliate promotions, lead-generation pages, referral solicitations or disguised marketing for external services, coaching centres, products, websites or groups.

If you have a material financial, professional or personal interest in a service, institution, product or organisation discussed in an article, you should disclose that relationship where relevant.

11. Corrections, removal and suspension

If you discover a material factual error after publication, you should inform LessonInc. LessonInc may correct, update, annotate, temporarily hide, restrict, archive or remove published content when appropriate.

Publication does not guarantee permanent availability. LessonInc may later remove or restrict content because of copyright or ownership complaints, serious factual inaccuracies, privacy concerns, legal requirements, plagiarism, fraud, safety concerns or policy violations.

Contributor access may be restricted or withdrawn for repeated or serious violations. Where practical, a contributor may request reconsideration. Permanent restrictions should not ordinarily be based solely on an automated AI assessment.

12. Copyright claims and takedown process

If a person believes that material displayed in LessonInc Insights copies, uses or republishes content for which they own or control the relevant rights, they may submit a copyright or ownership claim through LessonInc's Copyright & Content Takedown process or contact LessonInc through its published support channels.

A claimant should identify the LessonInc article, identify the original work or material claimed, explain the basis of ownership or authority, provide a way to contact them, and make a good-faith declaration that the information supplied is accurate. LessonInc may request further information before deciding a claim.

LessonInc may temporarily hide or restrict the reported article while a claim is reviewed. After review, LessonInc may restore the article, remove or revise disputed material, keep the article hidden, archive it, or take other action considered appropriate. A takedown request does not automatically establish ownership or infringement, and LessonInc may reject abusive, incomplete or unsupported claims.

Contributors agree to cooperate reasonably with legitimate copyright or ownership investigations and acknowledge that repeated infringement or deliberate misrepresentation may result in removal of content and loss of Contributor privileges.

13. Privacy, verification data and security

Private verification details such as your email address and phone number are not displayed publicly unless you separately choose to publish specific contact information through a feature designed for that purpose.

LessonInc may use reasonable technical information, including IP-derived security signals, browser/device information, OTP activity, login history and submission patterns, for fraud prevention, rate limiting, security, moderation and audit purposes in accordance with the LessonInc Privacy Policy. Acceptance logs may retain a privacy-preserving hash of relevant security signals rather than displaying raw values to other users.

14. Contributor status, profile and dashboard

Eligible writers may receive a Contributor invitation after demonstrating a consistent publication history. Contributor access may include a professional author profile, drafts, article submission, editorial feedback, revision tools and submission-status tracking.

A public profile may show your chosen author name, photo, headline, biography, expertise, optional organisation/location details and published articles. Verification/contact information remains private.

Contributor and Verified Contributor labels are controlled by LessonInc and cannot be self-awarded. Contributor access does not provide administrative or direct publishing privileges.

15. No guarantee of payment, employment or endorsement

Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise, contributions are voluntary and unpaid. Submission or publication does not create employment, partnership, agency, professional accreditation or any other commercial relationship with LessonInc.

Publication does not mean LessonInc endorses every opinion or conclusion expressed by an author. Contributor articles represent the author's views unless LessonInc expressly states otherwise.

16. Contributor warranties

By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you are legally able to agree to these terms; the information you provide is materially accurate; you own or control the necessary rights in the submitted material; publication and LessonInc's permitted use will not knowingly violate another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other legal rights; and your submission does not knowingly violate applicable law.

You also agree not to misrepresent qualifications, affiliations, professional status, research, experience or endorsements in an article or Contributor profile.

17. Indemnity, complaints and platform protection

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for claims, losses, liabilities or reasonable costs arising from your material breach of these terms, your infringement of third-party rights, your lack of authority to submit or license material, or unlawful content you submit. You agree to cooperate reasonably with LessonInc in responding to such complaints. LessonInc may remove, disable access to or restrict content while investigating a complaint and may request information reasonably needed to address copyright, privacy, safety or legal concerns.

LessonInc reviews and moderates content in good faith but cannot independently verify every statement or ownership claim before publication. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LessonInc does not assume responsibility merely because contributor-supplied material is hosted, reviewed, edited for presentation or displayed on LessonInc Insights. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

LessonInc provides the Contributor programme and editorial tools on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonInc is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from rejection, delayed review, editorial scheduling, loss of draft availability, suspension of Contributor privileges or removal of content, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. No confidentiality for submitted article material

Do not submit confidential information, trade secrets, private student records, unpublished examination material, passwords, private messages or other information you are not authorised to disclose. Article submissions are provided for editorial review and possible publication and therefore should not be treated as confidential communications to LessonInc.

19. Governing law and enforceability

These Contributor Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. Disputes will be handled by courts or other competent forums having jurisdiction under applicable law in relation to LessonInc's principal or registered place of business, unless a different forum is required by law.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure by LessonInc to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

20. Changes, acceptance and related policies

LessonInc may update these terms as the contributor programme, applicable law, technology or moderation needs change. Material updates will use a new version/effective date and LessonInc may require Contributors to accept the revised version before further submissions or access.

These terms operate together with the LessonInc Privacy Policy, general Terms of Service, Copyright & Content Takedown Policy and applicable community/editorial rules. If a separate written contributor agreement exists, that agreement may add to or modify these terms for the relevant contributor.

Acceptance statement

By checking the acceptance box during article submission or Contributor activation, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Contributor Terms & Guidelines, the LessonInc Privacy Policy and applicable platform terms; that you are responsible for content submitted in your name; and that you understand submission does not guarantee publication.
